With your firm’s continued support of the Foundation, the Council can sponsor worthwhile projects and educational programs that support the Council’s mission and help promote excellence in federal practice in the Second Circuit, including:

  • The Foundation’s contribution to fund a two-year fellowship for the Immigrant Justice Corps, supporting the country’s first fellowship dedicated to meeting the need for high-quality legal assistance for immigrants seeking citizenship and fighting deportation
  • The Public Service Committee’s “Asylum Representation Program,” which screens Immigration Court matters that have been identified as potentially meritorious cases for pro bono representation
  • The Foundation’s annual contributions to the U.S. Attorneys’ Internship Fund and to the Justice Resource Center for the Federal Bar Council Federal Courts Visits Program
  • Special publications such as the “Courthouses of the Second Circuit:  Their Architecture, History and Stories,” which surveys the architecture of the courthouses throughout the Second Circuit, landmark cases, and interesting personalities surrounding the courthouses
  • Widely attended CLE programs and conferences on cutting-edge legal topics with leading judges, attorneys, and academics, including:
    • Simultaneous live videoconferences especially designed for federal law clerks throughout the Second Circuit
    • CLE Programs organized by the Council’s First Decade Committee for those in their first ten years of practice
    • CLE Programs via webcast
