In 1989, the late Judge Morris Lasker received the Federal Bar Council's Learned Hand Medal for Excellence in Federal Jurisprudence. In his acceptance speech, Judge Lasker challenged our members, as lawyers and citizens, to be mindful of the less fortunate members of society. The Federal Bar Council's Public Service Committee explores ways in which federal practitioners can make a valuable contribution to the world around us.
