CLERK OF COURT
The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York is accepting applications for Clerk of Court. The Office has a staff of 226 employees. The Clerk’s Office has its headquarters in Manhattan and a fully staffed office in White Plains. The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York serves eight counties with 28 active judges, 15 senior judges, 14 full-time magistrate judges and one part-time magistrate judge.
Applicants must have ten or more years of progressively responsible management experience, at least three years of which must be in a position with substantial management responsibilities. Applicants must understand and have significant experience with automation concepts and applications, emergency preparedness programs, and budget, finance and human resources management. Finally, applicants must demonstrate the ability to function effectively in a complex and sophisticated government environment. Undergraduate, graduate and/or legal education may be substituted for required general experience. Court management experience is highly desirable.
The maximum salary is $174,000.00 and is contingent on education and experience.
